Join us for an evening of fun during the All About Bats! Nature Workshop with guest speakers from the Houston Humane Society Wildlife Center (HHSWC). The program will include information about bat species found in Texas, a small craft, and an outdoor hike after the sun sets to listen for bats. Weather appropriate clothing, closed toed shoes, and water bottles are recommended. The HHS Wildlife Center is a Houston based wildlife rehabilitation center that cares for both native and non-native Texas wildlife found in and around the Houston area, with a specialty in small mammals, migratory songbirds, small raptors and reptiles. Their goal is to rehabilitate with the intent to release back into the wild. *Children ages 4 and under are welcome to attend for free. *Fees for the program do not benefit the HHSWC. If you are interested in donating to the HHSWC to help their wildlife rehabilitation efforts, you can do so at houstonhumanewildlife.org.
